Synergy Pictures UK™
A Synergy Media Corporation Company
We make pictures. We finance them. We take them to the world.
The House
A production house with a balance sheet behind it.
Synergy Pictures UK produces feature film and premium documentary. We also arrange the capital that gets those pictures to camera and license them into world markets — three functions the industry usually keeps in separate hands, and which we have never seen a reason to separate.
The floor comes first. Everything else in this house exists so that a director gets the days, the crew and the cut the picture actually needs. A financier who has never carried a schedule misprices risk; a producer without a sales desk misreads a market. Holding all three together means the money, the making and the selling answer to the same people from first drawdown to final collection.
We work to a mandate rather than a volume target. A small number of pictures a year, each underwritten on its own merits, structured against verifiable pre-sales and incentives, and reported on quarterly. We are slow to commit and we finish what we start.
What We Do
Three desks, one house.
Production is the business. The finance and distribution desks exist to get pictures made and to get them seen.
I
Production
We produce and co-produce feature film and premium documentary in the United Kingdom and abroad. Development through delivery, run against the approved budget and schedule by producers who have carried pictures to completion before, with cost reporting back to the finance desk throughout.
- Development & packaging
- Physical production
- Co-production & service work
- Post supervision & delivery
- Cost reporting & budget audit
- Compliance, E&O and insurance
II
Structured Finance
We arrange and place the capital that gets a picture to camera: equity, senior and mezzanine debt, gap facilities, tax incentives and treaty co-production finance. The recoupment waterfall is modelled and agreed before any party signs, so every position in the stack is documented from the outset.
- Equity & private placement
- Senior, gap & mezzanine debt
- UK incentive & AVEC modelling
- Treaty co-production structuring
- Waterfall & recoupment design
- Completion bond liaison
III
International Distribution
We represent completed pictures and pre-sell titles territory by territory. Distributor relationships, festival strategy and the deal terms behind them, handled by the house that underwrote the film — so nothing is lost in the handover and receipts return through a controlled account.
- World sales representation
- Pre-sales & minimum guarantees
- Festival & market strategy
- Streaming & broadcast licensing
- Release planning
- Collection account management
Markets
- Cannes
- EFM Berlin
